  6. GENERAL
  7. INFORMATION:   NET$MSG.SYS is a system hidden file in the system directory.
  8.                It is used by the "send" command to pipe messages.  This 
  9.                file is always open as long as the system is up.
  10.  
  11.                NET$LOG.MSG is a file that applications can make API calls 
  12.                to and pipe their network error messages to.  There is no
  13.                problem deleting this file.  If the application makes a 
  14.                call to save data to this file and it does not exist, the 
  15.                file server will create the file and will be the owner of 
  16.                this file.  If NET$LOG.MSG grows fairly quickly, that could
  17.                be a sign that an appliction is having problems on the LAN
  18.                or that a user is doing something wrong.
